Inflyte Launches Groundbreaking Music Promo Delivery Platform

October 17, 2014

Belfast based inflyte-004music and technology company Inflyte has announced the launch of a groundbreaking, user-friendly mobile platform that allows music companies and PR firms to send promo material direct to DJs, programmers and journalists for instant, smarter feedback.

Founded by former BBC presenter, DJ & producer Paul Hamill and technology developer Paul McConnon, Inflyte was established earlier this year with the aim of creating a way for promotional music to be distributed and listened to in a much more efficient way that offers a better user experience for everyone involved.

The Inflyte team also includes Darren Hemmings, who is the founder of digital marketing consultancy Motive Unknown and curator of influential music industry newsletter The Daily Digest.  Hemmings has assumed a business development consultancy role with the company.

Inflyte allows promotional music to be sent directly to users mobile phones where it can be cached and listened to offline at any time on any device. It allows recipients to listen to promotional music and deliver feedback when it suits them making it much more lifestyle compatible.

Among its key features Inflyte offers seamless Dropbox integration, real time reporting and analytics, push notifications, shareable feedback, Bluetooth compatibility, one-click ratings and super fast, secure servers that allow the upload of multiple tracks in an instant.

Inflyte also incorporates a sophisticated, permissions based filtering system that eliminates spam and ensures that recipients only receive promotional music from trusted sources that they allow access to.

Inflyte has already received significant funding from investors including TechstartNI managed by Pentech Ventures whose current portfolio includes music analytics company MusicMetric and who previously successfully exited music streaming service We7.

Paul Hamill, co-founder and CEO of Inflyte said, “As a radio presenter and DJ I was becoming increasingly frustrated at the inefficiency of sending and receiving promotional music. Inflyte was borne out of that frustration and we have, as a result, developed a platform that is much more flexible and lifestyle friendly. By allowing recipients to store and listen to music when it suits them and by enabling them to give timely, detailed feedback on the go, Inflyte is making the process of listening and responding to promos much more enjoyable and productive.”

Adam Carter from electronic PR specialist Exclusive Promo, whose clients include Dirtybird, Ovum Recordings and Phantasy Sounds said, “ Exclusive Promo has always relied on reliable and forward thinking digital delivery systems. We were hugely impressed when presented with Inflyte, and its constantly evolving mobile app was a function that we’ve been seeking for while. The layout and ease of use were immediately appealing. Working together and seeing the team develop upgrades from our own user feedback has also been hugely rewarding.”

Mark Pritchard from the Association of Electronic Music (AFEM) said,  “Electronic Music is continually pushing the boundaries of technology and music.  AFEM is attracting organisations that are well established pivotal players, through to exciting and dynamic new ventures such as Inflyte.  Its great to have Paul and his company on board and demonstrates our commitment to bringing all aspects of our genre together to take collective action.”
