IMRO are delighted to announce details of their Music Cork Showcase, set to take place in Crane Lane on Thursday 2nd May. On the night fans can see some of the best up and coming Irish music in the form of milk., XO MO, Aislinn Logan plus one more act to be announced. Entry to the showcase are free, based on a first come first served policy with doors opening at 8.00pm.

milk. are a four-piece alternative pop band from Dublin, Ireland, made up of Mark McKenna (vocals/ rhythm guitar), Conor Gorman, (lead guitar), Conor King (bass) and Morgan Wilson (drums). They make music spanning many genres – with a sound ranging from subdued modern RnB to pop-rock and influenced by acts such as The 1975, Foals, U2 and The Japanese House. Their debut single ‘Drama Queen’ was met with positive reception. Described by Nialler9 as, “sonically, the ultimate feel-good track” before requesting “more of this please“. It was also covered by GoldenPlec, Dork Magazine and Dansende Beren in Belgium, having amassed 10,000 streams across all platforms within 24 hours of its release.

Xo Mo are a Pop Duo Presently Featured on Spotify’s Editorial Playlists such as New Pop Revolution, A Breath of Fresh Éire and A New Éire as well as having been featured on New Music Friday with their most recent singles. Xo Mo blend vocally serene yet adventurous melodic experiences over ambitious yet tight production. Pulling together a wide variety of influences from Kanye West to Christina Aguilera, using Hip-Hop sounds beneath Disney soundscapes, consciously and sonically channelling both the emotions of the naughties with anecdotes of modern romance and living.

Jrdn (Vocals) and Elliott Mo (Production), both raised in the small town of Mullingar, developed their sound and craft over years of experimentation and study across many genres. They set out to bring you an emotional experience from pop ballad, to an all out stomper, carrying you across emotions with thumping drumbeats and serenading melodies alike.

Setting out to appear on the charts, at your next basement rave or rocking a festival stage, Xo Mo are sure to soundtrack your life, love and next emotional rollercoaster with their own Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Aislinn Logan makes unlikely genre bedfellows a natural fit, melding disparate sounds into a cohesive whole. Her scene-setting lyrics are delivered with a vocal that conveys someone who has lived through her subject matter. Wound through thoughtful production (crafted with Ghostpoet / Bear’s Den / Belle and Sebastian collaborator Kristofer Harris), the tracks are often polished versions of her bedroom recordings.

Traces of Aislinn’s eclectic musical interests inform everything she does without being obvious touchstones. She has a love for metronomic repetition, with patterned layers weaving their way into her music.

Aislinn is signed to Faction Records; home to James Vincent McMorrow, All Tvvins and Search Party Animal.
