Ergodos at the London Independent Label Market

July 13, 2016

Ergodos will be joining over one hundred other record labels at the Independent Label Market in London on Saturday, 23 July from 11am to 6.30pm. Held at the London Brewers’ Market in Spitalfields, the Independent Label Market attracts over forty-five thousand music lovers across the day.

The market is a great opportunity for Londoners to discover Ergodos’ vinyl and CD releases, with label founders Garrett Sholdice and Benedict Schlepper-Connolly manning the stall throughout the day. Drop by and listen to the latest releases from artists like composer Simon O’Connor, or reeds man Seán Mac Erlaine.

A range of exclusive and rare items will also be available at the Ergodos stall, including test pressings of Schlepper-Connolly’s forthcoming album The Weathered Stone. Composer David Collier has put together a limited run of tape cassettes of new, unreleased music, and beautiful screen-printed handkerchiefs inspired by Collier’s new album, Smacht, will be on sale. Ergodos canvas bags be on hand ready to carry your new vinyl purchases.

Founded in 2011, the Independent Label Market aims to be “a valuable reminder of how music retail can be a social affair; people hanging out together as a community and buying records”. The ILM has hosted events all over the world, with markets in London, Berlin, Hamburg, Brooklyn, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Bristol, Toronto, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The London market also features twenty local breweries representing a thriving craft beer scene.
