Damien Dempsey Shares New Single ‘Apple Of My Eye’
Damien Dempsey has shared his latest single, ‘Apple Of My Eye’ with Wildwood Kin.
‘Apple of my Eye’ is the first track to be taken from Damien’s new album, ‘UNION’, which will be released on 30th November 2018.
Featuring 14 tracks, ‘UNION’ is an album of collaborations showcasing new songs and re-imagined Damo classics.
What Damien says about Wildwood Kin:
“I performed with these amazing ladies in the Roundhouse in London last St Patrick’s Day, and they were deadly. Very unique sound, amazing voices and harmonies, and knock out songs sung with passion and guts, their very special.
I’m chuffed they were so gracious to sing on this song that I wrote in a boiling basement in Brooklyn in August 2001, Their wonderful harmonies lift my heart, check them out on youtube, they savage. Thanks ladies for the loan of the magic.”
About ‘UNION’
“I love collaborating with people who move me with their music and lyrics and soul and voice.
And when we collaborate with music we always learn something from each other and take a little bit of each other’s spirit and magic away with us.
You always come up with something that you wouldn’t have if alone, souls and minds mingle, kindred spirits connect and dance, creativity crackles, and the results can be wonderful.
Union is a myriad of styles and a bit of a melting pot but I adore melting pots and I reckon there’s something for everyone here.”
