The Coronas became the latest recipients of the IMRO Number 1 Award this week in recognition of the success of their latest album, “Tony Was an Ex-Con”. The band members were presented with their award by IMRO Board Member, Niall Toner, at Copyright House yesterday.
The second album from the Dublin-based band has hit the top spot in the Irish Independent Album Chart on numerous occasions since its release in 2009.
The IMRO Number 1 Award was introduced to acknowledge IMRO members who reach number 1 in the album charts here in Ireland or overseas.
The Coronas will release the latest single from “Tony Was an Ex-Con”, “Won’t Leave You Alone”, on 29th October before heading out on a nationwide tour in December.
