Culture 2025 | Update

September 29, 2015

Regional consultation meetings will be held in the following locations – Galway, Limerick and Kilkenny – in the
coming weeks, with the consultation process finishing with a symposium in Dublin in mid-October. The meetings have been organised in conjunction with Local Authority Arts Officers.

The aim is to have a national discourse on the role of culture in modern multicultural Ireland and what should be done to foster and develop it. This consultation process will inform and underpin the first ever National Cultural Policy – Culture 2025 – which will clearly articulate the important role of culture in our country and which will set out a road map for what we want to achieve in the cultural sector for the next 10 years leading up to 2025.

Galway, Town Hall Theatre – 2nd October 2015, 10am-12.30pm

Limerick, Hunt Museum – 8th October 2015, 2.30pm-5pm
