Dublin indiegazers, Galants, release, ‘Follow’, the second single to be taken from their forthcoming sophomore EP via Zen Ten Records on 21st September.
‘Follow’ heralds a change of pace from the band’s previous offering ‘In Vain’ and is prefaced with thundering drums and a sense of melodic urgency that unrelents throughout. Reflecting on the
psyche of the crowd and pressure to use the decisions of others as a mental shortcut to navigate life, the track represents the race towards escapism. In seeking to meld the power pop of Hüsker Dü and guitar haze of 90s alt bands such as Swervedriver and Catherine Wheel, Galants continue their celebration of what’s gone before and reflect it back into a new beginning.
