Ableton Certified training providers present this demo and hands-on workshop exploring how you can integrate the latest music technology and techniques to your song writing and performance. There will be a ‘Live Performance’ focus to these workshops and also a practical slant so you can pick up tips & tricks to bring to your own set up. This show-and-tell will take the form of initial demonstrations from experienced producers/musicians from the CreateSound team followed by a break-out session where participants can get their hands dirty with the latest hardware and software to explore the ideas discussed. Speakers are actively using Ableton in a live context and will be sharing their experiences along the way. All equipment including laptops, full software (incorporating latest Ableton Suite & Link) and midi controllers (e.g. PUSH) will be provided for you to use. Facilitators will be floating around to answer your specific queries.
Demo session will run for approximately one hour and will include sections on:

  • Intro to Ableton, PUSH & Link – some key features that support performance.
  • Live Set Up – run through of live set up being used by one of the tutors (Caz9).
  • Live Film Scoring – demo of putting music to film via software & controllers.

The ‘Break-Out’ session will run for about 2 hours with all equipment provided.
