IMRO Set To Host Traditional Music Showcases and Seminars at Temple Bar TradFest 2011

December 2, 2010

Each year Temple Bar Dublin comes alive with a series of festival concerts and a rich line up of musical performances, workshops, high quality street theatre, family events and much more in a celebration of traditional Irish music and culture. The 2011 festival will feature such luminaries, as Clannad, Altan, Beoga, Matt Cranitch, Jackie Daly and many other renowned artists.

The Temple Bar TradFest 2011 will run from 26th-30th January. Now in its sixth year the festival hopes to build on its previous successes. Having won the coveted title of “Best Traditional Music Festival” in the 2008 Irish Festival Awards the sky is the limit as far as festival organisers are concerned.

As part of the exciting programme of events taking place at the 2011 festival IMRO will host a series of Traditional Music Showcases and Master Classes in the New Theatre, Temple Bar, over the course of the festival.

Any traditional music groups or artists interested in performing at one of these showcases should email a link to their website to keith.johnson@nullimro.ie before 15th December.
