International Showcasing and Marketing Seminar – SXSW and MIDEM

SXSW (Austin, Texas) and MIDEM (Cannes, France) are the two most important showcasing, deal striking and networking events in the international music industry.
MIDEM is widely recognised as the principle annual international music industry conference, showcase and trade fair in Europe, attracting over 9,500 music industry and media professionals from over 100 countries, representing every musical genre.
SXSW is the most significant industry showcase event in the USA with over 1500 international artists showcasing before more than 8500 industry and media delegates from 5 continents. The conference and festival are career-shaping events presenting a surfeit of opportunities for music entrepreneurs and artists.
On Monday 6th September, FFWD will host a special event that will give Northern Ireland ‘creatives’ and businesses a chance to find out all about the opportunities these important events can offer. The seminar will include presentations by SXSW and MIDEM and will also provide those attending with the opportunity to speak directly to the event representatives.
Guest speakers at the event will include: Una Johnson (SXSW), Javier Lopez (MIDEM) and Phil Patterson (UK Trade and Investment)
