Making Music Together | Music documentary series on RTÉ Lyric fm features jazz duo Zrazy

November 7, 2012

Jazz duo Zrazy is the focus of the third programme in the series Making Music Together next Friday 9th November on RTÉ Lyric fm at 7pm. The series of music documentaries explores human relationships in which music plays a very significant role,. The series spans a range of musical genres – classical, jazz, trad and choral singing- and an array of human relationships; a family, a couple that has separated but managed to maintain a musical partnership, a traditional community of musicians bonded by their identification with a particular musical style and idiom, and a new community that has formed around the joy of singing together.

Next week’s programme hears from jazz duo Zrazy. Maria Walsh and Carole Nelson have been making sweet music together for over two decades, and continue to do so – despite the fact that their relationship as a couple came to an end. The programme will explore the dynamics of their personal and musical relationship, from their early days as part of Major to Minor in the late ’80s through to their current status as mature and respected artists.

Making Music Together is made with the support of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland’s Sound and Vision scheme and is produced for RTÉ Lyric fm by Sound Woman Productions

Making Music Together Zrazy will be broadcast on RTÉ Lyric fm at 7pm on Friday 9th November.
