Ben Pyne releases his debut EP “In the month of July” this month. The 29-year old singer-songwriter from Balbriggan in Dublin showcases his ability to perform in a variety of genres, from the acoustic-pop ‘Blameless’ to the country-rock ‘Running into the Dark’.
The undeniable theme of loss which connects the varied styles on EP, is magnified in the 30-second piano interlude, ‘The Condition’.
Meanwhile, the highlight of the E.P comes in the Enya-esque ‘When I Lost You’; a dark, emotive piano ballad with backing vocals as Gaeilge.
The E.P is accompanied by 4 pieces of artwork – one representing each of the songs – designed by Irish artists, Marie Gordon and Ciarán McCormack.
