Charles Boulevard kick start their new year with video release for ‘Experienced Required’ their new single. The track is taken from their debut album ‘Rendez-Vous!’ which was released at the end of last year.
The band formed last year with members from the Czech Republic and Ireland have been delighted with the reaction to their first album and want to build on it’s success in 2021.
‘Experienced Required’ is a celebration of all the great music which has been created from times past to the present day. Lyricist Dermot Condron explains, “We wanted to pay tribute to all those musicians and composers who have inspired people to create music and pass the baton from one generation to the next. When we refer to the King it could be Beethoven or Elvis. The Queen could be Aretha or Freddie. It doesn’t really matter as long as you find something to inspire you.”
Bernie PB’s high octane drumming pushes the pace and energy of the song, while Pavel’s jangly 12 string guitar adds that sense of optimism reminiscent of the mid-sixties Beatles/Byrds. Echoes of a time when everything was possible and people were eager to push their creative boundaries. Dermot adds, “The underlying message of the song is to gain inspiration from the rich musical legacy of the past and just take the ball and run with it!“
