Acclaimed Rock/Pop Singer-Songwriter Rachael McCormack has just signed with Universal Music Publishing, one year on from releasing her debut album ‘This Is My Identity’.
Rachel, who comes from North Dublin, has been performing on the Dublin music scene for a number of years, but attracted great attention after the release of her debut album entitled ‘This Is My Identity’ in June 2013. Two years in the making with producer Paul Woodward, the album has performed extremely well on iTunes, Spotify and XboxMusic, and has attracted praise from top Irish Music journalists.
Following in the success of the album, Rachael has appeared on TV3’s ‘The Morning Show’, ‘Storeroom Sessions’ by Hotpress Magazine, and Balcony TV in London. She recently played support to Paddy Casey on his latest Irish tour, and has also supported X-Factor finalist Mary Byrne on her Irish tour. She has appeared at festivals throughout the country, and received over 75,000 hits on her Fandalism Music Page.
Rachael hopes that her new deal with Universal Music Publishing will progress her career as both an artist and a songwriter to new heights. She has recently co-written an indie dance track for Irish Hip-hop artist Deanie, which will be released through Sony later this year. She also plans to release her own third single during Summer 2014.
