Republic of Loose were presented with the IMRO Number 1 Award this week, in recognition of their latest album “Bounce at the Devil” reaching Number 1 in the Irish Independent Album Charts late last year. IMRO CEO, Victor Finn, presented the award to the band at the IMRO offices.
This is the fourth album from the Loose, who have had continuous success in Ireland and overseas in the past few years, with national airplay throughout Europe and America, as well as three sold out tours in the US in 2009.
The band have just come to the end of a four month residency in Dublin’s Academy, and details of upcoming gigs for 2011 can be found at www.republicofloose.com.
The IMRO Number 1 Award was introduced to acknowledge IMRO members who reach number 1 in the album charts here in Ireland or overseas.
