Track Dogs Share Graphic Novel Inspired Video ‘Dead To Rights’

July 17, 2018

Track Dogs have released a dramatic, graphic novel inspired video for their new single ‘Dead To Rights’ featuring striking artwork by award winning Spanish illustrator Aurelio Medina.  The band have also just released the vinyl version of their new album ‘Kansas City Out Groove’ and are offering goodies with the first 50 sold from trackdogsmusic.com – including a limited-edition CD of new single ‘Dead To Rights’, custom guitar picks & badges featuring artwork from the video.  ‘Dead To Rights’ precedes Track Dogs’ Irish tour – starting on 25th August at the Bridge Bar, Ramelton, Co Donegal, 26th at Ukulele Hooley, Dun Laoghaire, 28th August at White Horse Sessions in Lahinch, 30th August they headline the Sugar Club in Dublin and finally on 31st August they play Electric Picnic’s Salty Dog Stage at 8pm.

Based in Madrid and made up of two Irish, one American and one UK musician, Track Dogs released their album ‘Kansas City Out Groove’ in April, which features ‘Dead To Rights’ and previous singles ‘Born In Love’ and ‘I Don’t Wanna Ruin It’.  Since then, it has gained glowing reviews for the bands infectious sound: “the quartet serve up a south of the border fiesta exuberance that defies you not to stomp the heels and play air castanets….the groove is most definitely on” Fatea Magazine UK; “genre-busting acoustic music built around folk, Americana and bluegrass…an album that will delight established fans and gain plenty of new ones” RNR Magazine UK; “delicious Ameri-Latino mix with one quarter Americana, two parts Latino, a hefty dash of strings…let the summer erupt. Feelgood festival music!” Keys and Chords, Belgium.  Joe.ie selected the last single ‘Born In Love’ as their Track of the Day dubbing it “summer pop goodness”.

Track Dogs potent combination of harmonies, trumpet and cajón has seen them winning fans so far this year at Costa Del Folk in Ibiza, on festival stages across the UK and at Trafalgar Square, London where they performed on St. Patricks Day.  They also performed a special concert at the Irish Embassy in Madrid for dignitaries led by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

‘Kansas City Out Groove’ is Track Dogs 4th album and it features their striking blend of 4-part harmonies, acoustic guitar, ukulele and bass alongside cajón and trumpet with banjo and mandolin. The new album is a progression in their sound to a more robust Latin, ‘south-of-the-border’ & Americana feel.  It was recorded in Madrid at Playground Studios on an analog Studer A80, originally used in Abbey Road in the 1970’s on sessions for Pink Floyd and The Beatles. Working with co-producer and Latin Grammy nominee Germán Gutiérrez, Track Dogs have finally achieved the sound they’ve spend 10 years evolving. The album is available on Vinyl, CD and on all streaming outlets & trackdogsmusic.com.
