DAY_S is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter and Dublin native who brings to the table his signature blend of expertly crafted piano lines, soulful vocals and solemn but unapologetic lyrics. A laid-back guy and a dedicated performer, he has always endeavoured to keep his material as fresh and unique as possible “For me, I always approach it as just me and the piano and that’s it. Whatever comes out comes out.” DAY_S has just under 1.5 Million streams on his debut release ‘Last Night’. He has clocked up 32k hours of streaming in 61 countries amassing 388k fans. DAY_S has provided support for Dagny, Soulé, Jafaris, as well as supporting All Tvvins on their European Tour in March. He is also one of GoldenPlec’s Plec Picks for 2018.

Since the release of her debut EP in 2014, Laura Elizabeth Hughes has received widespread acclaim, establishing herself as a rising talent among a fresh new group of emerging Irish songwriters. The experience of being part of the Irish contingent for this year’s Eurovision entry has also provided Laura with something not many performers get to do in their careers. ‘Together’, was co-written by Laura with fellow Irish musicians Ryan O’Shaughnessy and Mark Caplice provided Ireland with their first Eurovision grand finals appearance in five years and captured the hearts of not only the Irish public but nations all around the world. Laura’s new songs have been well received by audiences so far having been given a live airing at recent performances at the Ruby Sessions and as special guest to Canadian–American songwriter Justin Nozuka in The Sugar Club. Her unique voice has seen her build a substantial fan base from across the world with her YouTube channel amassing an astonishing 2.5 million views. ‘Ceremony’ is a celebration of a talented songwriter bringing her undeniable talent to the fore with each song being born from her life’s experiences. The four song E.P. captures a journey from darkness to light and showcases the distinctive vocal and writing talent of a songwriter on the cusp of something very special.

In September 2016 Apella burst onto the scene with their debut single ‘We Met At A Party’ to huge support from both national and regional radio stations, the track is a serious declaration of intent from singer/multi-instrumentalist Dara Quilty and drummer Ronan Nolan; who’ve previously shared a stage with the A-List likes of Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, Twenty One Pilots, 30 Seconds To Mars, and even Bon Jovi. It’s no wonder then that Apella arrived fully formed and ready to win musical hearts and minds. Both ‘We Met A Party’ and the preceding single ‘Graceful Dancer’ make you want to hit the ‘repeat’ button as soon as they finish. That type of smart, sassy writing is repeated throughout their parent album, which showcases the duo’s new and ever expanding sound. With much more to come from, Apella are a band to keep your eye on and ears open to.

Abner Brown’s is not only the coolest barbershop in town, it’s also one of Dublin’s most unique venues. The unlikely Rathmines venue has already seen performances from hundreds of acts such as Ash, Gavin Glass, Duke Special, David Geraghty (of Bell X1 fame), The Young Folk, Molly Sterling, Mundy, The Hot Sprockets and many more. REM’s Michael Stipe has even paid a visit.
