The 3rd Acoustic Yard Music Festival

Headlining this year will be Mundy and the 4 of Us with 30 singer/songwriters from Ireland and beyond performing around the town in bars, cafes and open air locations.
Friday May 11th
At the Clock Tavern 5pm on Friday May 11th the festival opens with ‘Music at the Clock’ an outside event with some of the artists involved in festival performing songs in an impromptu open mic setting.
In the evening Irish songwriting legends The 4 of Us will perform in the Clock Tavern Restaurant at 8pm with support from Vickers Vimy. Tickets are €15 and are on sale at www.theacousticyard.com
Saturday May 12th
Between 12pm to 2pm there will be a busking competition around the town with a 250 euro prize for the winner. All entrants must play original songs.
At 2pm outside the Clock Tavern a stage will be set for 2 hours of some of the best new emerging acts including The Finns, Billow Wood and the talented Sina Theil with many more….
4pm Tony Reidy hosts ‘The Clew Bay Folk Club’ in Matt Molloy’s Yard Bar with the theme of the event being ‘Your Favourite Songwriter’. All are welcome.
6pm. The Songwriter Club starts at 6pm upstairs at Blousers Bar with a workshop, discussions and impromptu performances from all matters ‘Songwriting’.
In the evening at 8pm Saturday May 12th in The Clock Tavern one of Ireland’s biggest stars Mundy will perform with support from Peco. Tickets are €20 and on sale at www.theacousticyard.com
Sunday May 13th
The Wild Atlantic Women, a collection of female singers from Donegal will perform around Brewers Place (off Bridge St) in cooperation with The Gallery Wine and Tapas Bar at 3pm
The afternoon will also include performance from 2 of Ireland’s bright lights in singer songwriting Ciara O’Neill and Sara Ryan.
The Acoustic Yard will host the main evening concert with Coda the 7 piece Acapella group who are based in Mayo. They will be performing songs from their new album ‘Train of Spirits’ at Matt Molloy’s Yard Bar with special guest artist Ultan Conlon.
