Cronin set to release “Nelson Riddle” EP

croninIrish band Cronin start 2015 with the pre St Patrick’s Day release of their Nelson Riddle EP.

The lead track is named after the Legendary string arranger who worked with Frank Sinatra and also wrote the 60’s Batman TV theme tune.

The 4 track Ep Recorded  in the brothers own studio, Transmission Rooms Ireland, the EP features guest performances from a raft of musical friends & heroes including Terry Edwards (Tindersticks, PJ Harvey, Gallon Drunk) on string arranging, Helen Turner (The Style Council) on Keys, The Frames brothers Karl and David Odlum on track Overlooking Paris and former JJ72 singer Mark Greaney for their homage to the late Gene Pitney with their version of “Something’s Gotten Hold of My Heart”.

The Ep is available to download and limited edition on Live Transmission Records from 2nd March 2015.

Cronin are an Indie Irish band from Drumlish/Leeds/Mullingar based around Irish brothers Jonathon and Michael Cronin.

They are best know in their native Ireland for their last project Mod/Rock/Pop band The Aftermath who  received commercial and critical acclaim as well as chart success.

They have shared the stage with bands such as Kaiser Chiefs, Nial Horan from 1 Direction, Art Brut, Pete Dotherty and Christy Moore,Paul weller.
Their recording studio Transmission Rooms  has seen the likes of Kodaline andThe Strypes record.

The have had music featured  in 2 major motion pictures(The Lone Ranger & The Hardy Bucks) with Shane Macgowan and are also songwriting with Irish Pogues legend  on a new project.Shane joined them on stage last year at the Electric Picnic in Ireland.
